LHS BOOSTER CLUBGENERAL MEETING MINUTESFebruary 1, 2016In Attendance:Vicki Billingsley, Sherice Mansfield, Connie Schmidt, Julee McArthur, Angela Morgan, Alex Hoerner, Kellie Cooper, Laurie Beavers, Heather Ryan, Michael Piper, Shannon Bjornson, Elma HamptonMeeting was called to order at ___7:00___p.m. by Vicki BillingsleyMinutes from last meeting were reviewed and approved.Piper Report:Piper requested money from Saul Haus to be used for workforce program. Board approved his request. Piper shared that the next staff meeting is the 10th at 2pm. Angela plans to attend and promote the auction. Piper will look into an early morning staff meeting in March. If an early morning meeting is planned, Boosters can bring doughnuts, Piper will supply coffee.Treasurer’s Report:There is approximately $66,290 in the account, $12,864 is Booster funds. Connie reviewed the guidelines for student concession stand volunteers. Students cannot volunteer during school hours and it cannot be a requirement.Agenda Items:Clothes for a Cause – Angela discussed more about Clothes for a Cause. Connie will look into guidelines for offering a $500 reward for the top class.Auction – Items are arriving. The same company is doing the bid sheets. Vicki volunteered to assist with the data input of all auction information. All auction items due March 10th. Angela obtained a case of white and a case of red wine and requested all booster members donate a bottle of wine to the Wine Game. Discussed whether to have a ring toss or pull a cork game. Discussion tabled. Angela will follow up with coaches and clubs. A flyer was sent to orchestra & band for advertising at upcoming events. Auction is also being advertised on the Booster Facebook page. Kellie indicated that the Key Club would like to volunteer. Food Handlers – Vicki requested all booster members obtain their Food Handlers by the February meeting. Most members have obtained their permit.Web Specialist – Vicki is currently in search for a Web Specialist to manage the Booster Web Site. No new report.Promo – Vicki shared that the Booster sign and business cards have arrived.Concession Stand Report:Concessions balance currently at $6,823.78. Trail Mix was new this season and a good seller. Looking to try out some new items next year. Fundraising Report:Auction is scheduled for Friday March 19th; room is reserved 1pm to 10pm, as it is a half day. The Auction will be held 6:30 to 9:00. Angela has the following committees planned,Decorations/Food – Set-up & Clean-upLogistics – Cashiers, auction, bid sheets, timing, flowProcurement – Obtaining auction itemsAppetizers and desserts planned. Planning to continue with the same name to create a tradition. Auction items due March 10th. New Business:Senior Scholarships are quickly approaching, Elma will discuss at our next meeting.Reminder that march and April meetings have been moved to the second Monday, due to scheduling conflicts.Upcoming Events:Next Booster meeting, Monday March 13th, 7pm SE 104 ................
