Worry kills Christ in me; it comes from un-forgiveness as a result of pride
If I take a care thought into my heart, it destroys God’s word and cuts off my faith in God
Matt 13:22 The one who received seed among the thorns is one who hears the word
and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches (and a desire for things) choke the word, and they become unfruitful (and God’s purpose for them is lost).
John 15:16 ...I chose you and ordained you that you should go and bear fruit...
Care/worry chokes/kills the word of God, Jesus, the source of my faith, care kills my faith.
Care speaks the current circumstance; Faith speaks God’s promise of a new circumstance.
Care says what it has; Faith has what it says, the power of faith brings it into existence.
Rom 4:17 ...God, who...calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
What is a primary cause of being in care or worried about things? Un-forgiveness of others
1 Jo 4:18 ...Perfect love casts out care (which is fear): because care has torment KJV
Matt 18:33-34 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant,
just as I had pity on you?' And his master...delivered him to the tormentors...
35 So My heavenly Father also will do to you (tormented with thoughts from spirits of care) if each of you, from your heart, does not forgive your brother his sins.
My choice of not forgiving someone from my heart results in my thoughts being invaded with worry thoughts from wicked spirits of care. I’ve ignored the greatness of my own forgiveness by God. I’ve also ignored that Christ bore the sin of the one I won’t forgive!
1 Jo 2:2 Christ is the sacrifice for our sins. Not only ours but the sins of everyone.
What is at the root of our un-forgiveness, why won’t we forgive? Nothing but our evil pride
The pride of self gets offended; has hurt feelings if its rights are violated, or if it doesn’t get its own way. It won’t forgive nor seek God, and it insists the violator pay for their offence.
Pride is unbelief, powerless and unhappy. Humility is faith, powerful, happy and fruitful.
How do we get this priceless humility that believes, forgives and is worried about nothing?
There is no pride in Christ, no un-forgiveness, no unbelief and no worry about anything.
Ps 10:4 In their pride the wicked do not seek God; God is not in all their thoughts.
Matt 11:29 (Jesus) ...Learn of me; because I am meek and humble in heart... How?
1. By eating, believing Christ, the word Jer 15:16 Your words were found and I ate them 2. By living in Christ, meaning our will being controlled by His Spirit, not our human nature.
Ro 8:1 There is no condemnation to those in Christ who live yielded to His Spirit;
We will then live as He lived, care free, forgiving, humble, happy, full of His faith and speaking words of faith, in and by Him, that bring into existence things that don’t yet exist.
Ps 5:12 You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround them
NLT as with a shield. Hab 2:4 Look at the proud! They trust in themselves and their lives are crooked; but the righteous (the humble in Christ) will live by their faith.
