Songs:Intro/Dr.music/Heavy metal(21/8)/Joan Crawford(21/8)/ME 262/

Flaming telepaths/Roadhouse blues.

The tunes “Heavy metal” & “Joan Crawford” were recorded in Donnington

Park on 22/8/81(Rick Downey on drums). The “Heavy Metal” tune here is played on along-solo version(different than the

Original version). The other tunes were recorded in London on 19/8/81 at the “Venue” club.(Albert on dtums).

*You might hear people also callin’ it “Still ticking” or “Still fighting” (the title-logo is very bad).

7. “GODZILLA-LIVE N.Y. 1981” 1993 METALMESS (cd & vinyl)

The above concert was recorded on 16/6/1981 in the club

“Bond’s casino International” in NY.

The cover sucks but the sound is great.

It contains the songs:

Hot rails to hell/ME 262/Don’t fear the reaper/

Godzilla/Born to be wild/5 guitars/Roadhouse blues

Cds: “The thing” & “Burnin’ for you”

8. “THE THING” 1991 BEECH MARTEN (2 cd-set)

This cd is from the same concert as “Godzilla”

(NY 1981),but it contains more songs. The sound is

very good.In the back cover the title 18 June 1981

is wrong,as it should be two days earlier.

Also the correct is “Bond’s International” and

Not “Band’s..”.

CD No1:Dr.music/E.T.I./Burnin’ for you/Fire of unknown origin/

Cities on flame with Rock ‘n’ Roll/Joan Crawford/Flaming Telepaths/

Veteran of the psychic wars/Hot rails to hell

CD No2:ME 262/Heavy Metal the black & the silver/

Don’t fear the reaper/Godzilla/Born to be wild/

“BOC:Live & Alive vol.1 & vol.2”.Also in Italy.

9. “NAIL YOU DOWN” (cd) 1992 OH BOY records(Italian release)

Recorded in “Perkin’s Palace” Pasadena,California on 23/July/1983,

For KBFH radio station(it was broadcasted on 29/8/1983).

The same material is on the cd “Rock ‘n’ Roll Reapers”

But It doesn’t contain the song “Feel the thunder”.

Songs:

Stairway to the stars/Harvester of eyes/Workshop of the Telescopes/

Before the kiss/Born to Rock/Hor rails to hell/Seven screaming Diz-

Busters/Cities on flame/Burnin’ for you/Joan Crawford/Born to be wild/

The reaper/Roadhouse blues/Love me 2 times.

*Rick Downey is on drums.

** the songs:Take me away/Veins/Feel the thunder were NOT broadcasted

from KBFH as their next lp “Revolution by night” had not been released yet.

***At the back of the cover there are some band-members’ photos. Albert Bouchard’s photo shouldn’t

be there,as he wasn’t the drummer on that concert(Rick Downey was).

10. “ROCK ‘N’ ROLL REAPERS” (cd) 1992 METALMANIA records

Same material with “Nail you down”(Pasadena 1983)

11. “BURNIN’ FOR YOU” (cd) 1994 Live Line Records

solo from Buck). There also is a promo-tune (“Power underneath

despair”) recorded in the studio, before it was released on a BOClp.

You can also find 3 live tunes of each mentioned above band.

Joe Micelli is the drummer in the concert eventhough Bobby Rondinelli

Is only credited in the booklet.(They probably wrote the band members

During the cd’s release).Jon Rogers is on bass. The inner-photo is from 1993 with

Chuck Burgi and Jon Rogers.

15. “NEW YORK’S HEAVY METAL SOUND” (vinyl) 1975

COVERS DIDN’T MAKE THE ALBUM & VARIOUS OTHERS(COMPILATIONS,etc..):

The firstly chosen cover of Before they decided to name

“Heaven Forbid” was simply their lp “Heaven Forbid”,they

THE BEST,but………… had chosen the title “Ezekiel’s

Wheels” (Lanier’s idea).

Here is the cover.

Nouvelist John Shirley is the lyric-writer on most of “Heaven Forbid” ‘s songs & “Bad Channels” tunes also. Here is his punk-rock band called “The panther moderns” (Cd: “Red star” 1996,WL),which

contains his (& first) version of

“I’d like to see you in black”.

Black Blade from Cultosaurus Erectus

Harvester of Eyes from Secret Treaties

Flaming Telepaths from Secret Treaties

Godzilla from ETL

The Reaper from Some Enchanted Evening

* Notes: The jam at the end of Cities on Flame was removed...

* the song ends with Buck's trill way up the neck. But the switch

• to The Red and The Black was pulled off VERY well.

• Very cool cover but the title(Metal years) sucks.

1989 “(Don't Fear) The Reaper” (cassette) CBS

The Reaper from Agents of Fortune

You're Not The One (I Was Looking For) from Mirrors

7 Screaming Diz-Busters from Tyranny and Mutation

Career of Evil from Secret Treaties

Cities on Flame With Rock'n Roll from Blue Oyster Cult

Buck's Boogie from ?

Redeemed from Blue Oyster Cult

* Notes: They removed the solo from The Reaper.

* They remixed Career of Evil. Eric also redid the vocals.

• Changed a line of text(“do to your daughter”..became ..”Do it like you oughtta..”).

• “Born To Be Wild” a marvelous studio version of the song. The riff is different.

• The version of “Buck's Boogie” is a live version (Rochester NY 1972)

• All the above tunes, are from the single-versions.Also this version of “Born to be wild” ,was a B-side single in 1975.

1993 “Reaper-Best of” (cd) ZOUNDS/PHONO/SONY (Austria)

This cd is a German release. It contains a nice booklet with

A couple photos from BOC’s concert in Germany in 1986.

The compilation is not very good.Very bad cover.

*The Reaper - Best* (German/Holland import compilation)

(Don't Fear) The Reaper [from Agents Of Fortune]

Godzilla [from Spectres]

R. U. Ready 2 Rock [from Some Enchanted Evening]

Notes: Released in 1993. Distributed by Sony Music Entertainment (Germany), made in Austria, printed in Holland

The version of "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" sounds as if Buck mistakenly sings the second verse twice, while the band recovers without missing a beat. Actually, the splicing of the two shows was done in the middle of the song, but was done in error. Also, for some unknown reason, "5 Guitars" was mixed after "Born To Be Wild", when in actuality the band played them in the opposite order ("5 Guitars" segues into "Born To Be Wild").

1995 “WORKSHOP OF THE TELESCOPES” (2CD-set) SONY

This cd-compilation is probably the best ever released.

The inner-booklet is great with many rare photos from

the past. The cd-sleeves are designed great with the Kronos

logo. The only wrong thing is the 2 “Club Ninja” songs input

instead of classic tunes such as “Hot rails to hell”

“Black blade”,”Feel the thunder”,”The last days of May”,

“R.U.ready 2 rock », « The vigil », »Dr.music”. etc..

My opinion is that they shouldn’t put the 2 Club Ninja & the 2

cover-tunes(MC5/ANIMALS).They should put in their place the above tracks. The only explanation is that they have included ALL the hits(meaning the songs that were released as sigles).Three songs on the first cd,are from the LIVE NY-1972 bootleg EP.

CD-1:Cities on flame/Transmaniacon MC/

Before the kiss/Stairway to the stars/

Buck’s boogie/Workshop of the Telescopes/

The red & the black/7 screaming diz-busters/

1999 “Don’t fear the reaper” (cd) SONY/CBS

This cd was firstly released on vinyl in 1983-84,
