The position will work independently, as well as part of a team, to coordinate projects and participate in the planning, modeling, analysis, development, testing, deployment, and risk mitigation associated with technical solutions developed.35%Provides primary development and maintenance of all OR Web Data Projects which will include ADA document accessibility remediation. Document accessibility includes using department approved applications and software to remediate Adobe pdf documents and web content. Functions include evaluating OR processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions. 25%Evaluates, establishes, procures, supports various elements of the technical infrastructure of the Office of Research including servers, software, and desktop issues. Works collaboratively with technical partners and stakeholders in the implementation and support of technical solutions to maintain or improve the performance and availability of data. As a technical liaison, adheres to departmental standards, maintains documentation, make recommendations, and mentor staff. Ability to communicate and present various types of information verbally and in writing through accurate and detailed documentation to OR staff, management, and departmental stakeholders.20%Participates and collaborates in the development of Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) programming and independent coding of algorithms utilized by the Office of Research (OR). Initiates and undertakes data extraction and assessment functions, as well as specialized reporting projects. Collaborates in defining project scope, objectives, user requirements, activities and develops resource plans. Identifies risks, develops procurement plans, and addresses stakeholder communication needs. Carries out project plans, performs quality assurance, distributes performance information to stakeholders and monitors project scope and schedule.15%Supports and undertakes the development of SAS data sets used to produce various Department reports, including but not limited to Offender Data Points. Produces and organizes SAS data sets used for various OR Tableau dashboards that display data internal to CDCR and externally.5% Maintains technical skills and participates in mandatory training classes.
