Project: French Revolution Foldable
Directions: You are to create a layered book foldable that outlines and describes 5 major events of the French Revolution from 1789 to 1815 in chronological order. Gather information about the events and use that information to help you summarize each event’s significance. Your summary should be at least 4-5 sentences for each major event you choose.
You are REQUIRED to complete this assignment!
Requirements:
1. Format:
• Your final project must be a layered book foldable using 4 sheets of paper.
• Neatly hand written or typed.
2. Presentation:
• Creative Title (Not “French Revolution Foldable”)
• Introductory paragraph in the first tab giving a synopsis of the French Revolution.
• Order events of the French Revolution in chronological order.
• Label, outline, and describe each event. Use and underline the terms in your description. Do NOT list the terms or copy their definitions from your textbook glossary.
• Add one of the following graphics (or draw an image) to depict the event.
You MUST include at least ONE for each major event!
o Artwork from the time period
o Portrait or Quote from important historical figure
o Map or similar illustration
o Chart or Graphic with statistics
• Concluding paragraph in the last tab discussing the impact and legacy of the French Revolution.
o How successful was the French Revolution in accomplishing its original goals?
o Which part of the revolution was most effective? Least? Explain why.
o Which theme in history is most reflective of this time period? Why?
