Directions: By next Tuesday (11/3), be prepared to respond to the Feds’ diss track with your own. Their rhymes were pretty hot, so to compete you’ll need a total package—an anti-Federalist rap, historical research, and visuals. Each person will be assigned a role in your group, but you must all work together as a team to make the best diss possible. Be creative and have fun! Here are the roles and requirements for each: Rapper/Songwriter The Rapper must write a full-page rap with the following.A Hook/Chorus telling the Feds who you are and, briefly, why you are an anti-FederalistA Verse that…Has at least 16 barsMakes a three-point argument with one real-life connectionThese arguments should both support the anti-Federalist position and counter the arguments made in the Federalist diss track. Have at least one of each (example: two arguments supporting the anti-Federalist position, and one refuting the Federalist’s).Has at least 6 key terms from Chapter 5Rap must be presented in class, be well rehearsed, flow, and show creativity and effort.If you want to rap to an online instrumental, let me know which by next Monday (11/2)Historical ResearcherThe Historical researcher must work closely with the rapper since much of their information must be similar to the information presented in the rap. They must write a 3 paragraph, formal summary of their group’s diss track that addresses all of the information the rapper must present in their rap. This includes at least 6 key terms from Chapter 5Paragraph 1- Introduce your anti-Federalist position. What it was fighting against, and why?Paragraph 2- Summarize the rapper’s three-point argument in more detail Paragraph 3- Explain your group’s real-life connection and how it supports your anti-Federalist argument.Your summary is 3 paragraphs of at least 4 sentences each with proper grammar, spelling, and clarity.Visual ArtistThe Visual Artists must have a well thought out political cartoon on medium-sized poster paper for each argument and have them ready for your group’s rap performance. Each cartoon should have written description on the back of it, explaining the significance of each visual. On the back of each poster or on a separate piece of paper, your posters image is described in at least a one paragraph summary Poster is complete and takes up the majority of the posters space with detail, color, and a written explanation with proper spelling, grammar, and clarity. This poster is presented to the class at the cypher.
