Economics follow-upI hope you remember—and UNDERSTOOD—the demonstration in class using Andrew, Luke, and Gideon to demonstrate how people willing to work under CAPITALISM can grow the economy. Our Economy is NOT a '0 sum’ economy! These guys in the class example did not steal or take anything away from any other person! What they did was to grow the economy. If our economy were 0 SUM, for them to have made money would have meant that someone else had to lose money. NO, NO, NO-not even Jeff Bezos, the wealthy Amazon entrepreneur worth billions, stole anything. Believe it or not, as he grew wealthier, so did many thousands of other people as they were hired to work for Amazon. And think about how many happy Amazon customers there are.Now watch the posted video ‘AS THE RICH GET RICHER, THE POOR GET RICHER’. As you watch this, I hope that you will come to understand that there is room in a true CAPITALISTIC ECONOMY for every citizen to benefit. Watch the video and don’t get upset that people like Bezos, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, or Walt Disney make lots of money. Be glad! They make the world better! We will prove the merit of capitalism several times over as we continue our study of Asia. Check the photo taken in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is a real photo. What you see is all manmade. Palm Jumeirah aerial view. The palm tree-shaped Jumeirah Island off the coast of Dubai is an artificial archipelago created by land reclamation. ................
