Suspension Hearing Appointments
The RMV has implemented a new process in which customers can schedule a virtual suspension hearing. To do this, customers can visit the Online Service Center and select "Make or Cancel a Hearing Reservation" under the "Additional Services" section. Supporting documentation can be uploaded during the transaction. The virtual hearings can be scheduled up to 30 days in advance and will be conducted by phone.
Limited walk-in appointments will be available at select RMV locations for customers without internet access to schedule their virtual hearings. These locations are Brockton, Fall River, Haymarket (Boston), Lawrence, Pittsfield, South Yarmouth, Springfield, and Worcester. They are available weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
At this time, interlock violation hearings, applications for removal of an interlock device, and chemical test refusal hearings cannot be scheduled via the internet and require an in-person visit to the Haymarket (Boston) RMV Service Center.
A handout may be provided to customers who arrive at a service center requesting a hearing. See next page for a sample.
