A broad range of topics will be taught, including linear, rational, and quadratic equations, linear inequalities, radicals and exponents, matrices, polynomials and factoring, direct and inverse variations, and the rules of Algebra. Although each of these areas are valid mathematics in their own rights, they will be taught as an integrated whole, not as isolated topics. The connection among these topics will be a prominent feature of the curriculum. Homework is due at the beginning of class in accordance with our homework contract. For every day of excused absence, students will be given an equal number of days to make up missed work.
