Position DescriptionNon-Exempt07/01/2020ARVAC, IncorporatedFreedom HouseLicensed Clinical Social WorkerIntroductionThe Licensed Clinical Social Worker is responsible for coordinating the daily activities and group sessions within the ARVAC Freedom House Treatment Program that includes, psychiatric assessment, medication management, marriage and family counseling, and substance abuse.The following job functions are not all-inclusive. Job duties may change as required by needs of the agency.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe LCSW will serve as the key point of contact for all ARVAC Freedom House clients in ARVAC’s residential and outpatient treatment program. The incumbent will be accountable for the performance and client-based results within the program. The LCSW is responsible for providing direct mental health services to the clients in the Freedom House Treatment Program. The Licensed Clinical Service Worker is expected to abide by agency policy and procedures regarding record keeping and collaboration to coordinate treatment.Primary ActivitiesOversees outpatient individual, family, and/or group recovery sessionsCreates, utilizes, and enforces the evidence-based curriculum and counseling methodsSupervises recreational and therapeutic treatment programsEnforces a relapse prevention programComplies with all behavioral health, state, federal, CARF, and ethical guidelinesMeets outcomes and performance standards applicable by law, rule or regulationsComplies with incident reporting guidelinesMaintain continuing educationAssists to update and maintain outpatient/transitional handbooksCompile and document client files as requiredEnsure all billing submitted is in complianceInterview/assess clients for mental health needs Performs individual and group therapy servicesThe clinician is responsible for providing direct mental health services to our clients.Document, review, and maintain accurate case records and relevant clinical informationProvide counseling and evaluation services to individuals or groupsMaintain personal and professional code of ethicsProvides references and referrals to accommodate clientsConducts life-skills workshops that consists of adult daily living skills, employability skills, and budgeting to prepare clients from transitional housing to affordable housing Conduct case management to ensure written records are in place for reporting purposes Maintains compliance with the ARVAC Freedom House Confidentiality and Privacy Policies regarding Agency, client, and employee information both documented and verbal. Complies with all ACC policies and procedures for admissions and discharge of clientsPerforms other duties as assignedSkills/Knowledge/AbilitiesAbility to follow rules and regulationsAbility to communicate with supervisors, staff, and clients effectivelyKnowledge of evidence-based curriculumAbility to create curriculumKnowledge and ability to counsel othersAbility to adhere to professional standardsControls Over the PositionThe Licensed Clinical Social Worker will work directly under and report to the Clinical Services Manager. Qualification StandardsEducationMaster’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.Licenses or CertificationsCandidate must be a licensed LCSW in the State of ArkansasExperienceTwo years’ experience in counseling required RequirementsMust hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to commute to and from work and to other agencies within the areaADA Requirements (Essential Functions)Physical Requirements* Sitting5-7 hours/day Standing2-3 hours/dayWalking 2-3 hours/dayUse of telephone 3-4 hours/dayWorking under pressure3-hours/dayWorking rapidly for long periods 4-5 hours/dayUse of keyboard/computer, printer, fax, copier4-5 hours/dayPosition requires close work; finger dexterity; good vision, hearing, oral communication and critical thinking on a regular basis.
