Purpose Statement: The purpose of this program is to provide interdisciplinary education for bedside clinicians to assist patients and families experiencing perinatal loss or the loss of a newborn.

Program Objectives:

• Assess the grief process and individual responses related to perinatal loss and or the loss of a newborn.

• Describe the needs of the caregiver and resources to avoid compassion fatigue.

• Identify resources and apply protocols/guidelines to provide individualized care of the patient and family experiencing perinatal loss or loss of a newborn.

In order to receive continuing education credit for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

• Attendance at entire activity

• Completion/submission of evaluation form

Evaluation

• The evaluation will be emailed to you to the email address used for registration.

• The evaluation must be completed within 7 business days after the program date or you will receive an incomplete. Credit cannot be awarded once the program is closed in 30 days.
