Benefit Auction

Tioga County's 4H Youth Development Program has been selected to

receive a portion of the proceeds in

St. Patrick School's fourth-annual

"Splendors of the Susquehanna Auction '10." The event will be held at

6:00 pm, Friday, Nov. 12, at the

Owego VFW, 207 Main St., Owego.

Tickets are $15.00 per person or

$100.00 for a table of eight. Hors

d'oeuvres, desserts, and champagne

punch are included in the ticket admission price, and a cash bar will be

available. Tickets may be purchased

at St. Patrick School, 309 Front St.,

Owego, during regular school hours.

Ticket holders will receive prior to

the event a list of available items for

the silent and live auctions. These

items include Disney Park Hopper

passes and airline tickets to Orlando, a

kayak, personal fitness training sessions, an iPod Touch, a one-day paintball event, limousine service, handmade quilts, gift certificates, gift baskets and many more items being added daily.

For over 150 years, the community

has shown much support to St. Patrick

School. With the "Splendors" auction,

the school families are excited to give

back to the community and hope

many will join them in "bidding high

and bidding often" to benefit the children of St. Patrick School and the

Tioga County 4H Youth Development

program.

Rotary Craft Fair & Chicken Bar-B-Que

The Owego Rotary Club is sponsoring the ¡°2nd Annual Arts, Antiques and Craft Fair¡±, Sunday, November 21from 8 am - 3 pm at the

Elk¡¯s Lodge on Front St. in Owego.

There will be over 30 fabulous

artisans, vendors and crafts persons

to provide their unique and high

quality art and crafts. These crafts

include textiles, such as children¡¯s

clothing, rug hooking, quilting, and

a variety of fiber arts. There will be

several woodworkers, and potters,

all unique, and a variety of jewelers,

as well as visual artists in watercolor and oils, and photography. There

will also be several vendors selling

items such as Tupperware, Isagenix

and candles.

their Antiques Emporium in the

lower level of the large lodge, and

there will be a delicious chicken

barbeque lunch. Other activities will

include a silent auction with gift

baskets and items donated by generous vendors and local merchants, a

bake sale, and a 50/50 raffle.

All proceeds from the chicken

barbecue and the workings of the

Craft Fair go to support the eradication of Polio worldwide! Only 4

countries in our small world carry

this poliovirus. Support this local

event, support local artists and

crafts people; and through this, support Rotary¡¯s dedication to eliminate this virus through worldwide

immunizations.
