To obtain support for certain platforms, you may need to install a hotfix or a maintenance pack. The support as indicated in this guide requires that the latest hotfixes or maintenance pack for a release are installed.

About deprecated platforms

Certain platforms are referred to as "deprecated." That indicates that while the deprecated platform is supported in the current release, Symantec plans to remove support in an upcoming release.
