This is a list of recent Teams activityChat: Chat with your one or many of your colleaguesTeams: Groups of people brought together for work, projects, or common interestsCalendar: Set up instant meetings with or without videoCalls: Call any of your [ORG] colleaguesFiles: You are able to collaborate with Team members on files that are uploaded to Teams; you may also link to your Box account and open files from Teams Note: files opened from Box are not saved in Teams and files saved in Teams are not linked to Box unless you upload the fileChatWith chat, you can have private one-on-one or group conversations that are not in the public team channel. To start a new chat, select New Chat next to the search bar at the top of screen.Type in the name of the [ORG] colleague you want to chat with, you may enter multiple people to a chat. When you are ready to chat > enter the text below and click the send button or enter on your keyboardMake video and audio calls from a chatTo make video and audio calls from the chat screen, click on the appropriate icon on the right side of the chat screen. Clicking the icon you want will video or audio call the person or persons you are currently chatting with. You also have the option to share your screen.In call controlsTeam ChannelsIn Microsoft Teams, teams are groups of people brought together for work, projects, or common interests.Teams are made up of?channels. Each channel is built around a topic, like “Team Events,” a department name, or just for fun. The new team is created and will appear at the bottom of your current team list and have one Channel with a default name of General, you can drag and drop the teams to organization their location in your list. Create a Task ListWithin your channels, you have the option to create task lists. Select the channel you want to create a task list and at the top of the channel page, click the +. Choose the Planner app. On the next screen, select Create a new plan > Name the planYou are now able to add and assign tasks.When you assign a task to another member, the task notification will appear in the member’s Chat list.CalendarThe calendar allows you to view your Outlook calendar and start Meet now meetings of schedule a +New meeting.Meet Now0-635To meet now, click the Meet now button > Name your meetingChoose your settingsClick Join now to start your meetingOnce the meeting is started invite people to join youType the names of the people you want to invite, once selected, the contact is immediately called. To invite external contacts, click the copy link and circulate the meeting details.Scheduling MeetingsTo schedule a meeting in the future, select +New Meeting. Schedule the meeting as you normal and invite your attendees. You may invite internal and external contacts.When it is time to edit or start the meeting, you may do so from Outlook by opening the calendar invite and clicking the Join Microsoft Teams Meeting of from Teams by going to Calendar, finding the event and clicking Join. Calls You can call any [ORG] staff member on the Calls screen.0127000Type the contact name(s) under Make a call > choose audio or video call from the purple buttons at the bottom of the screen.Teams may suggest contacts you are in frequent contact with, select audio or video call from the icons next to the name.FilesTeams allows you to share files within your Teams and access files in Box. Adding Files to a TeamTo manage files for a current team, go to Teams > select the appropriate team > choose the tab Files left-63500Create new files and folders or upload existing documents. You can simultaneously edit the same files in Teams.Please Note: Teams is not integrated with Box, any changes made to a document in Teams will not be reflected in Box.Viewing Box Files in TeamsYou can view your Box folders and files in Teams by going to Files +Add cloud storageleft1397000You will be prompted to login to Box > choose to login with Single sign on. Once you are logged in you will see all your files and folders. To open a file click on the ‘…’ next to the file name and choose Open in Browser. If you modify the file, the changes are made and saved in Box. The file is not saved in Teams.Download the Teams app to stay contacted via your mobile device. ................
