The cadets showed up at 8am and started immediately placing flags at the graves of our fallen heroes. The cadets helped place over 1,000 flags at the cemetery with the help of other volunteers. The ceremony included many guest speakers who thanked all the military personnel that have served and thanked those who severed but never came back home. They also thanked the Gold Star Mothers who lost the most important thing, their son/daughter. We are sorry for your loss and we guarantee that your sons/daughters will never be forgotten because they have made the ultimate sacrifice for this country and its freedom. As the ceremony continued almost all the guest speakers said the same thing “Freedom is never free. It has been paid for by the soldiers that have served for this country so that we can all have this privilege and the freedom that they fought for.” Thank you to those who came early in the morning to help out on Memorial Day while your classmates are still probably sleeping in bed, this shows a lot about your character and that you care about our fallen soldiers.
