Hi kate0626.

I checked your product specifications

Your system has PCi express slots.

So it can definitely support the latest gaming cards.

IF you are upgrading go for the nvdia geforce 9 series if not the 200 series for the best performance.

The geforce 8 series and 6 series are outdated.

Check here

Hope this helps.

so if my son brings me a geforce 8800 it should work though? He didn't want me to have to buy a new card. So even though it is outdated it will still run the game?

You misunderstood me.Its not that outdated that it can't run the game.It can definitely run the game smoothly.

My suggestion was if you are purchasing a card why not add few bucks more to get the best cards in the market?

The min specs for the game is :-

Minimum (XP): Core 2 Duo with 1.4 GHz or Athlon 64 X2 with 1.8 GHz, 1024 MB RAM, Geforce 6600 GT or Radeon X850 with 128 MB, 20 GB disc space

the recommended is:-

Recommended: Core 2 Quad with 2.4 GHz (or comparable AMD CPU), 2048 MB RAM (XP), 4096 MB RAM (Vista), Geforce 8800 GTS or Radeon HD 3850 with 512 MB

ALso you may fall short of memory.RUn the test here

I also suggest you get a additional RAm module not only for the game but also for the machine for future..
