Researched the best and worst foreign direct investment environmental and social practices for May 2013 the World Resources Institute. Case studies examined the risk-management and mitigation measures of foreign investors, private sector stakeholders, donor countries, and local communities, and analyzed how environmental and social risk management contribute to the success or failure of investments. The aim of the research is to explore lessons stemming from foreign funded development projects with a focus on the environmental and social impacts of these investments. The research will be used to educate Chinese investors and policymakers on best practice
