EOI: VICE PRINCIPAL/ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL INFORMATION PACKAGE FOR APPLICANTS

Thank you for your interest in applying for a Role with the Ministry of Education, Heritage and the Arts (MEHA). Prior to preparing and submitting your application, you are strongly advised to read this information package carefully and to clearly understand the requirements for completing and submitting your application.

1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA All applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Fijian Citizen, under 55 years of age 2. Registered with the Fiji Teachers Registration Authority OR if not currently registered you must be eligible for registration and apply for registration prior to submitting your application 3. Have a clear police record (will be required for selected applicants) 4. In good health and able to undertake the requirements of the position (a medical certificate will be required for the selected applicants) 5. Submission of a fully completed application form completed ONLINE. The online application portal can be accessed on FEMIS the following link:



2. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION 1. Information and guidance on how to access, complete and submit the online application form is included in Annex 2 at the end of this information package. 2. You can Edit and Save your online application multiple times but you be able to submit it ONLY ONCE. You can still view your submitted application but will no longer be able to make any changes to a submitted application.

3. QUERIES 1. Please ensure that you read the Online Guideline instructions very carefully BEFORE emailing a query. 2. Also ensure you clearly state your question and what part of the recruitment process you are querying. Where possible, please quote the section/point number you are querying ? e.g. 2.4, 5.1. 3. Email queries to recruitment.meha@.fj 4. Ensure you quote your Applicant ID and the vacancy number you applying for in the subject of your email. You should expect a response to your email within 2 working days.

ANNEX 1: INFORMATION ON RESPONDING TO THE KESAs (Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities)

ADVICE ON RESPONDING TO THE KESAs Show clearly how your personal values, knowledge, skills and experience meet the KESAs indicated in the role description and include examples and experienced gained. Be succinct and precise and ensure the response is relevant. The response should NOT simply be a list of what you currently do, or what you believe the role should do. Try to identify the keywords in the KESA, think about your qualities and history, than consider applying the Situation Action Outcome (SAO) approach. The SAO approach considers:

Situation -- where and when you did something Action -- what you did and how you did it Outcome -- what was the result of your actions

ANNEX 2: ONLINE APPLICATION GUIDELINE Applying Online

1. Applicants will go to the MEHA website- "Join our Team Section" or click on: to download the role description, and application guidelines.

2. To complete online application, applicants must go to FEMIS to apply online via link . They will need to scroll down on the FEMIS page to see the Online Job Application Portal as illustrated below.

New Users 3. New applicants are required to Register before they can access the application forms.

4. If applicant is still unable to find the registration page, click on this link

5. Once registration is completed you will receive an email confirmation. You can now log-in on FEMIS with your new Applicant ID as shown in Figure.2

6. After you have logged-in, you may apply for the vacancy(s) available by filling in the online application form.

Registered Applicants 7. Applicants with MUST login using their Applicant ID.

Page 1/Section 1: Applicant's Information 8. The 1st section of page 1 requires general information from the applicant such as your name, D.O.B,

home address, email, phone number etc.

9. Ensure that you press SAVE at the bottom of the screen in Figure. 3 and a message will be displayed to confirm that your application changes has been updated, before proceeding to the next section. Page 1/Section 2: Qualifications

10. In this section, please ensure that you add your qualifications in chronological order. The details entered will have to match the details on the certificates and transcripts that are required for verification.

Figure. 4 11. You can include multiple qualifications by pressing the Add Qualification button. Ensure that applicants read the list on the drop-down list very carefully before typing their

qualifications and the year it was completed under "Other Qualifications". click on the Save button to save changes to "Other Qualifications"

Page 1/Section 3: Referees 12. Please nominate two professional referees who will be able to provide detailed comments with

regards to your professional performance. One of the referees must be your immediate supervisor in your current position, or most recent supervisor, for those who are not currently employed. The second referee must be a former supervisor in a recent position.

13. Once you have completed this section, click on SAVE and then click on next page which is page 2.

requirements for completing this section.

Before you select a document to be uploaded please save it first using the following examples: [Applicant TPF/ID]- [First Name.Surname]-Document Type 93228-Meliki.Vola-CV 93228-Meliki.Vola-Certificates 93228-Meliki.Vola-Transcripts

You are allowed to upload a maximum of 3 documents. When saving your qualification certificates [3 qualification certificates for example], scan all

certificates into one document and save it as per the format indicated above. The same applies to your qualification transcripts. 20. Browse your PC to the location where your files are saved 21. Select the first document you wish to upload 22. Choose the document type 23. Click "attach Document" 24. Repeat the process for the rest of the documents

25. Complete and Save the Declaration Form.

26. This page gives you the opportunity to review your application before clicking "Submit Application". 27. Ensure that you are satisfied with all the information and documents you have uploaded BEFORE

submitting application. Only duly completed and SUBMITTED applications will be considered. Saved applications are considered a draft and will not be assessed. You can still view your submitted application but will no longer be able to make any changes to a submitted application.

28. Once you have submitted your application, you will be required to generate a copy of the acknowledgement letter to ensure submission is complete and you have a reference for future.
