New Online System for Nursing Program

The Bureau of Professional Licensing (BPL) is transitioning to a new licensing and

regulation platform and migrating from L2K to Accela. The new system will be called the

Michigan Professional Licensing User System (MiPLUS). Below is a highlight of the

features and what users can expect with the new online system:

All Users:

? Must have an account and have a valid email address to use the new system, this

includes individuals filing a complaint or individuals applying and/or renewing a

license.

? Users can maintain their accounts.

? Notices and information provided from the agency by email.

Applicants:

? Individuals applying for licensure for the first time will have to create an account

and submit the license application online.

? There will be no more applications sent via US mail.

Licensees:

? Individuals who are currently licensed and wanting to renew their license will have

to first create an account using a unique PIN code that will be sent by US mail from

the agency at the end of July.

? The online system will allow the licensee, once an account has been created, to

renew his/her license.

? Tracking of the license and any possible disciplinary actions can be done through

the system.

Complaints:

? All complaints and employer reporting will be submitted online.
