Faith in God
Mark 11:22-24, NIV
22 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered.
23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Introduction: A general belief about faith is that there is ordinary faith and special faith. Ordinary faith trusts in a common object or a person. But special faith, believing in God, means to have the faith of God while being a human being. The great miracles of the Bible were performed by those who had the faith of God.
1. Logos and Rhema.
1) Logos is the entire written Word of God.
2) Rhema is the word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit.
3) Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Rhema of Christ.
4) From the Greek, Ekete pistin deo is translated in the Korean Bible as
“believe in God”. But in the original (Greek) language, it means
“to have the faith of God” (Mk 11:22).
2. Faith that moves a mountain.
1) You must surely receive the faith of God that comes from Rhema.
- The case where Peter walked on water (Mt 14:28-29).
2) A dream with a purpose.
① If anyone says to this mountain ... into the sea (Mk 11:23).
② The principle of seeing God - Jacob's peeled trees (Ge 30:37-39, 41-43).
3) Command.
① To the dry bones of Ezekiel (Eze 37:7-10).
② When the apostles healed the sick (Ac 3:6-8).
3. The ceaseless struggle between faith and doubt.
1) The devil always brings doubt.
- Peter saw the waves and the rough sea (Mt 14:30-32).
2) Have a strong dream with the principle of seeing God (Ps 81:10; Php 2:13).
3) Say it like you have already received the things you do not have—Abraham, Sarah (Ro 4:17-18).
4) Be patient (Heb 10:36-38).
Conclusion: These days, when you watch health medicine commercials, they promote their medicine by saying that there are thousands of nutrients in one capsule. Likewise, faith has a number of elements in one capsule, and faith brings miracles.
