It includes an introduction to the variety of settings through which therapeutic recreation specialists and other professionals may develop programs for individuals with disabilities. Don’t just use a ragged old notebook; use a tablet or journal that is well kept and durable. Decorate it in a way that expresses the philosophies and ideas that you are experiencing throughout the class, even if it’s just with words. You might also want to create sections in the journal, either within chapters or in their own sections:?For Online Sections-Start a word document or Office Publisher or Google book- reflect, add picutures, random thougths. For Online? will ask you to upload about every 2-3 weeks. There are other programs (many I don't even know exist) one such is called glogster.? Check it out and see if it is for you.? You may choose a specific disability or develop program for all abilities and concentrate on policies and procedures to include everyone.? In the next couple of weeks you will receive detailed instructions.?Online LessonsThe purpose of the online lessons is to help you work through information that is most critical to your success.???The chapters or units will include a variety of learning activities, self-assessment, quiz, a video, a reflection or other opportunities to apply the new information.You must work through these lessons in order to receive the points. ?Lessons will close at a specified time and you will lose those points. ?Even though they are relatively low points, if you miss them it will impact your grade. Also, they will help you with your exams.Online QuizzesThe?purpose?of the quizzes is to determine your understanding of the basic content.?You will be allowed to take?each quiz 2 times. Your highest score will count.?Quizzes have a generous time limit, but they close on the monday night at 11:55pmTake the quizzes seriously they will help you on the tests.?
