IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR LICENCE

? This form will be considered to be an official request on the part

of your organization to obtain an annual licence from ACF.

Upon reception, an invoice will be sent via regular mail, along

with complete licensing information.

? Our streaming site contains movies that may not be suitable for

all ages. Account use must therefore always be under the

supervision of school personnel. Computers easily accessible to

students should be blocked from accessing our streaming site.

? Commercial streaming websites are meant for private home

use only and do not come with public performance rights.

All ACF licenses allow for the unlimited presentation of regular commercially

available movies from the studios we represent during and after school hours,

including fundraisers, family movie nights, and school community events.

Movies can be obtained from any legal source or from our streaming site.

All licenses are effective for 12 consecutive months.

Payment is required within 30 days, by check, credit card

or purchase order.

? A handling fee of $5.00 will be charged for all licenses.

? Price exceptions may apply for very small schools.

? All presentations must occur on school premises and must

only be for your school community.

PUBLIC PERFORMANCE COPYRIGHT LICENSE

$0.80 cents per student with a minimum charge $400.00 plus

applicable taxes. (Whichever fee is highest, not both together).

This assumes that you will source your own movies.

$1.15 cents per student with a minimum charge of $575 +

taxes plus applicable taxes. (Whichever fee is highest,

not both together)

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?

Founded in 1966, Audio Cine Films Inc. is one of the

largest rights representatives in Canada, and is

the exclusive Canadian non-theatrical distributor for

numerous major studios, producers and thousands of

films. As such, it issues performance licenses that legalize

the public presentation of commercially available films.

The Canadian Copyright Act applies in all cases, even if films are:

? Purchased from retail stores or online vendors.

? Obtained from personal collections or borrowed from

public libraries (for example).

? Shown freely, for charity purposes or to small groups.

ACF HAS EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS IN CANADA

No other entity in Canada or the United States is allowed to issue public performance

licenses from our partner studios (among others) and their movies. Licenses obtained from organizations

outside of Canada do not cover or allow for the presentation of movies from the studios we represent in

Canada.
