Full Time Clinical Therapist Job DescriptionDescription: Modern Parenting Solutions (MPS) is an organization working to increase the happiness, mental wellbeing, and functionality of the Modern Family though therapeutic services, parent trainings, and educational resources. MPS is a growing organization that aims to be a fun, dynamic, creative, and collaborative group practice for clinicians who value using evidenced-based practices in a fun and imaginative way to improve the health and wellness of the children, teens, young adults, and families of the San Bernardino and Riverside County communities. The Full Time Clinical Therapist will primarily provide outpatient individual therapy to kids, teens, and young adults at the Redlands location of Modern Parenting Solutions. Opportunities to provide group therapy and parent education trainings are also available. This position allows the Clinical Therapist to work with young people who are affected by a variety of problems, including (but not limited to): Anxiety Depression Anger Behavioral problems Academic difficulties Family relationship problems Self-Esteem challenges Social skills deficits. At times, the Clinical Therapist will also provide parent support services in order to support the treatment plan of the patient. Reports to: Dr. Becca Ballinger. Minimum Qualification Requirements: Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work. Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT) in the State of California (must be fully licensed). If offered an interview, applicants must provide valid license information to be considered for the position. Availability to hold at least 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by MPS. Other Qualification Preferences: The following points are preferred, but not required: Specialized training in treating adolescent trauma (i.e. EMDR). Specialized training in Play Therapy.Other specialized training with the child or adolescent population.Hours: Typically, the hours of operation at MPS are in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends in order on accommodate kids who attend school during the day; as such, the Full Time Clinical Therapist will be expected to work some evenings and/or weekends. The Clinical Therapist will be expected to be available to hold at least 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by MPS. Patient sessions are held in Redlands office of MPS or online through the approved telehealth portal.Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Clinical Therapist will be expected to perform the following duties, plus other duties as applicable: Perform on-site clinical therapeutic services to patients of MPS, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies. Planning and facilitating activities, and maintaining the cleanliness of the therapy room equipment. Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required. Communicate respectfully and effectively with staff and co-workers at MPS. Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for MPS. Respond to parents’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours, whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the MPS website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services as needed according to the treatment plan. Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary. Timely completion of written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by MPS or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Sunday of each week). Keep patient files accurate and up to date. Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by MPS. ................
