Before we get into the nitty-gritty of your first bill, here¡¯s a reminder of the price

plans that are available from 3.

Monthly charges ¨C price plans

My 3 is free and lets you manage your account quickly and easily. You

can check your usage, view recent bills, register for eBilling and update

your account details. Visit My 3 online at three.ie or via Planet 3 on your

3 mobile.

Worried about that small rainforest¡¯s worth of mail that

arrives through your letterbox everyday? Well now you can

do something about it. Simply switch to ebills.

Any questions?

You can use each flexi-unit for a 1 minute voice call, to send 3 texts or to use 1MB of internet surfing

on your mobile. To check how many flexi-units you have left for the month, just go to My3 on your

mobile.

Go to My3, select My account, Billing preferences and

then eBills, and make this the last bill we send you through the

post. Instead you¡¯ll get a text message letting you know when your

bill is ready to view online at My3. Do your bit for the environment

by switching to eBills at My3.

Q I¡¯m paying by Direct Debit. When will my first payment be?

A Payment will be taken from your bank account about 19 days from the date of your bill, giving

you at least seven days notice from when your bill arrives. This date will be shown on your bill.

Q If I make an interim payment, will the full amount shown on the bill still be taken by Direct

Debit?

Yes, 3 will always collect the full amount stated on the bill, if paying by Direct Debit.

If I¡¯m paying by cash, when do I need to pay my bill?

By the payment due date, which is shown on the front page of your bill.

A Yes, you can change to a selected range of our other price plans, subject to terms and

conditions agreed by 3.

Your monthly allowance is displayed in your bill. Yes, some things are excluded and will be

added to your bill. These are: calls and messages to international destinations (beginning with

00); any roaming calls and messages excluding 3LikeHome; calls and messages to and from

premium rate services (beginning with 15); message alert services, and calls to directory

services (beginning with 118). Calls to other numbers beginning with 0818, 1850, 1890, 15 and

0700 aren¡¯t included in your allowance. Some content is not included in your allowance. Before

you download content, you will be notified if there is a charge. This isn¡¯t a complete list. Please

refer to the price guide on three.ie for further details.

How will my bill be calculated?

Services are charged in arrears and your monthly commitment is charged in advance. Your

second bill will be sent one month from the date of your first bill.

What is a flexi-unit?

A flexi-unit is 1 call minute, 3 text messages or 1 MB of internet surfing on your mobile.

Depending on your plan you get a certain amount of flexi-units to play with each month. You

can use these flexi-units on calling, texting and surfing the web in whatever combination you

like within your plan.

If I don¡¯t use all of my flexi-units one month, will they be carried over to the next?

Any unused flexi-units at the end of the month will not be carried over to the next month. Once

your monthly flexi-units are used up, prices for additional use are shown on three.ie

The first page of your bill gives you a quick snapshot of what you need to pay.

Your 3 bill

This section shows the price plan you are on, the sum charged before VAT and then the total amount that

you need to pay including VAT. It also shows your previous account balance and your total payments since

your last bill.

Payment

This is where we tell you when your bill payment is due. If you are paying by Direct Debit, this section will

confirm when your payment will automatically be taken from your account.

Messages from 3

Here¡¯s where we¡¯ll tell you about any important information, special offers or updates.

How to pay

If you are not paying by Direct Debit, you¡¯ll see a bank giro credit slip here, which you can fill in and send to

us with your cheque if you want to pay by post. If you choose to pay by Direct Debit, we may have been

unable to set up your payment method in time for your first bill. If this is the case, a bank giro credit slip will

still appear on the front of your bill. Please pay the bill by whatever means is most convenient. The

alternatives are shown on the back of your bill.

The third page of your bill is a summary of how your total charges have been calculated.

Monthly charges

This shows the monthly charge for your particular price plan for the next month.

Administration Charge ¨C If you do not pay your bill by Direct Debit, our payment method administration

charge will appear below the itemised billing details. The monthly payment method administration charge

is €4.50 (inc. VAT, equal to €3.719 ex. VAT).

Inclusive allowance

This column confirms your full monthly allowance for the next month, in line with the price plan you have

selected. Note: To find out your remaining price plan allowance ¨C go to My 3.

Usage Summary

This part of the bill summary shows your usage under three main headings. Price plan usage, Other usage

(free allowance and add-ons) and Out of allowance. If you haven¡¯t used a service during this particular bill

period, it won¡¯t show up on your bill. Amount used - if your usage for a particular service is within your

allowance, there will be a zero charge beside it.

The final section of your bill shows your usage in greater details.

This section divides your usage into the following categories:

To give you as much information as possible, each service has been split into the following:

This column shows whether your usage was included or excluded from your monthly allowance.

Sub-total

Each category has a sub-total shown in bold text at the foot of each column. This relates to the summary

charges shown on page 2 of the bill under ¡®Usage summary¡¯.
