POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

|POSITION: |Administrative Assistant III (President’s Office) |

|Job Duties: | This position provides advanced technical-level support and administrative support to the office of the President. |

| | |

| |Job Responsibilities: |

| | |

| |• Performs and completes variety of tasks and assignments associated with routine support functions and special projects |

| |for the President of the College and the Special Assistant to the President |

| |• Acts as liaison with outside organizations to gather or report program-related information |

| |• Plans and coordinates meetings, conferences, seminars and travel calendars |

| |• Conducts extensive research to compile information needed to general reports, complete projects and to respond accurately|

| |to questions and concerns |

| |• Compiles and maintains employees’ time records and other records |

| |• Monitors use of and maintains supplies, equipment and /or facilities for the Office of the President |

| |• Uses complex software (e.g. database, spreadsheet, and graphics) as a tool for completing assignments such as maintaining|

| |databases, creating presentations, typing routine documents, and performing mail merges |

| |• Performs and completes administrative tasks and assignments which may include budget, procurement, contracts, inventory |

| |control, personnel, safety, security, records, etc. |

| |• Directs and supervises clerical interns and/or work study students assigned to the department |

| |• Documents data/information such as organizational unit or program area work activity, purchasing, budget expenditures, |

| |program changes, and resource utilization |

| |• May provide support to other members of the Senior Leadership Team |

| |• Performs other duties as requested and assigned |

|MINIMUM |Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/ university. |

|QUALIFICATIONS: |Or High school diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of work related experience. • Knowledge of TCSG rules, policies |

| |and procedures |

| |• Skill in customer service, interpersonal relations and serving the public |

| |• Demonstrated advanced skills in the use of computers and job related |

| |software |

| |• Skill in basic conflict resolution |

| |• Excellent oral and written communication |

| |• Knowledge of professional office practices, procedures equipment, and trends |

| |• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them to meet deadlines and |

| |objectives |

| |• Ability to work independently on specific projects |

|PREFERRED |Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/ university OR |

|QUALIFICATIONS: |an associate’s degree from an accredited college/ university. |

| |Five years at the level of executive administrative professional |

| |Experience in a college setting |

|WORK SCHEDULE: |Monday - Friday |

|SALARY: |Salary is commensurate with education and experience |
