Tables - Keep practising the multiplication tables in this order – x2, x5, x10, x11, x3, x4, x6, x7, x8, x9, x12 – use the multiplication sheet in the Home Learning tab on our website to help you. There are lots of ways to learn the tables e.g. chant them in different voices, write each table out several times every day, use J2Blast on Hwb, play Fastest Splat with mum/dad/brother/sister. Also, think about the division facts that correspond to these i.e. 7 x 4 = 28 so 28 divided by 4 = 7

Spelling activity – Practise reading and spelling words from the spelling sheets using the Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check strategy that we have practised in class.

Reading - Read every day. You can find a selection of additional books on the Oxford Owl website. Go to the website oxfordowls.co.uk. Click on class log in. Username is Miss Ashton and password is School123.

First News – read this week’s edition of the ‘First News’ newspaper. You could record yourself speaking about your favourite or most interesting article and upload it to Hwb.

Cymraeg –Practise asking and answering questions

using the Y3/4 Language Patterns. You will find these patterns in KS2 Home Learning, Welsh Resouces, Patrymau Iaith 3 a 4 with English. Record yourself and save it to your Hwb account using the upload icon on this page of your Hwb account.

‘O Gwmpas y Byd’ activities

Literacy–European Landmarks Comprehension–Choose either Comprehension (1 star is the easiest. 3 stars is the most difficult) whichever one is more suitable for you! Read the text and answer the questions. Take a photo of the completed task and upload to your Hwb account or you can type your answers on J2e and save in the Home Learning folder.

Geography –Atlas work (Map of Europe and Country Names) - find out the names of the countries in Europe on the map. Once you’ve completed them as an extra challenge, put the countries into alphabetical order. As an extra challenge, find out the name of each country’s capital city. You could also find out the approximate distance from each capital city to the capital of Wales, Cardiff. Which capital city is the closest/furthest away?

Geography – ‘O Gwmpas y Byd’ Fact file – choose a country in Europe and find out information for each heading on the fact file sheets I have included (1 star is the easiest, 3 stars is the most difficult). You can complete the fact file on paper, on J2 Office or J2E. Remember to include a drawing or picture of the country’s flag. You can also include other pictures if you would like but no more than 2!

First News – read this week’s edition of the ‘First News’ newspaper. You could record yourself speaking about the football debate– use the sheet (First News Football Debate) I have included to help you. How do you feel about football returning? Do you agree/disagree? Why? I have also included another activity sheet about this week’s newspaper for you to complete (First News activity sheet).

Cymraeg - Practise reading the ‘Teithio’ book. See the Welsh activity sheet I’ve included. You could record yourself practising reading the ‘Teithio’ book and save it to your Hwb account using the upload icon on this page of your Hwb account.

Find out the names of the most well-known European countries and make a ‘Tudalen Geiriadur’ (dictionary page) – draw or cut and paste a picture of the country’s flag and write the name of the country in Welsh alongside.
