In order to address these challenges, EUCOM is engaged in the creation of a comprehensive maritime security initiative for Africa. U.S. Naval Forces Europe (NAVEUR), EUCOM's lead component in this initiative, has developed a robust maritime security strategy and regional ten-year campaign plan for the Gulf of Guinea region. ................
