RALEIGH – State Treasurer Janet Cowell handed an unclaimed property check for over $6,000 today to a lucky North Carolina citizen at the State Fair. NC Cash, the Department’s unclaimed property program, has a booth at the fair where citizens can search a database of nearly $400 million in property to see if they have money to claim. ................
