Presidential Bracket Madness ProjectYour project, just like the NCAA Basketball Tournament will involve using a bracket format to determine which President best exemplifies the 7 roles that a president should fulfill. It will be worth a test grade, or 100 total points. The student that wins the entire bracket will have their lowest test score for the first nine weeks dropped. The instructions are outlined below.Decision Making:This project will focus not on who was the most popular or successful president, but on which one best fulfills the role of the president. Your decision making process when deciding which president should move on and which should be left behind needs to concentrate on the role of that president.Take into consideration the 7 roles of the president:Chief ExecutiveChief DiplomatCommander in ChiefLegislative LeaderHead of StateEconomic leaderParty LeaderBracket:This project will create a Presidential bracket. You will be creating content about the president based on each round of the bracket. Even if you lose in Round 1, you must complete every element that is required.First Round:Everyone completes and presents to narrow to a final 8. You will be creating a 1 to 2 minute video focusing on how your president expanded the power and the role of the presidency. If you choose to give a speech from the perspective (in costume) of your president, you do not have to make a video.Second Round (Final 8):Everyone must complete and submit, but the final 8 must present and get voted on to see who is in the finals to win the grand prize. In this round, you will be examining the 7 roles of the president. Explore how your president fulfilled each of these 7 roles. You can make commentary on how good or bad the president is at each role. You can use any online application to present this, but you cannot make a PowerPoint or Keynote.Finals (Top 2 – One On One)Everyone completes and Submits. The final two will be presenting to see who is the best president in United States history. You will be giving a 3-minute presentation that biographies the president you chose. Your goal is to show that your president is the most deserving to be called the best president. Give some background on what led to his development of his beliefs and politics. Think about his successes, morals and ethics, leadership, etc. ................
