Job Title: Information Technology Systems Network and Support Engineer

SUMMARY:

The Information Technology Systems Network and Support Engineer works with the Director of Information Technology to design, implement, and manage the Bank's networks and network connectivity with our ISPs. As part of this position, the Systems Network and Support Engineer will also provide Help Desk leadership implementing new end-user capabilities and resolving end-user issues.

The Systems Network and Support Engineer will ensure proper security safeguards are in place to protect both the Bank and Customer's assets. The Engineer will actively participate in a variety of key Bank projects/programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

? Responsible for the analysis, acquisition, installation, modification, performance monitoring, support, and improvement of the Bank's network

? Create VLANs within the Bank infrastructure to segment various systems ? Engage in the Security of the overall network including prevention of DDoS and other

network attacks. ? Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot performance issues (e.g. network collusions and

bottlenecks) ? Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network and server configuration,

mapping, processes, and service records. ? Provide help desk leadership to resolve application, hardware, connectivity issues at all

Bank locations ? Provide basic, and sometimes in-depth, software/hardware instructions for end-users ? Working knowledge of Active Directory, along with enhancing group policies and device

controls ? Understanding/working knowledge of both Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere

clusters ? Provide leadership in designing and upgrading enterprise IT environments for all

Pentucket Bank locations ? Insure that monthly security updates are tested and deployed as outlined in the Banks

patch management program. ? When needed, support new applications and enhancements to existing applications,

? Plan and participate in business continuity and disaster recovery testing ? Conduct research on software and hardware products and justify recommendations to

support purchasing efforts ? Represents the Bank through participation in various community and industry related

activities. Actively promotes the Bank wherever and whenever possible

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

? BS in Computer Science or 10-15 years' equivalent work experiences ? Minimum of 5-10 years' experience with networking technologies ? Minimum of 5 years' experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems or

demonstrated equivalent experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAININGS or CERTIFICATIONS

? Expertise in network design, including VLANs, DDoS, network redundancy and failover as well as network firewall, router, and switch configurations

? Expertise with virtualization technologies ? Expertise with laptop and PC imaging, deployments, and hardware support ? Experience with Solarwinds and other performance monitoring tools ? Experience with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016+ and Active Directory ? Experience with printer configurations and print server management ? Experience with iSCSI storage arrays ? Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010/2016; O365 experience a plus ? Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

OTHER SKILLS or ABILITIES

? Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, and employees

? Demonstrated project management skills ? Proficient written and oral communication skills ? Excellent customer service skills

The work environment includes several different areas including general office areas, computer rooms, basements, ceiling and possibly construction sites. In the computer rooms, the noise levels are moderate to high and temperatures may be extreme (hot & cold). Required Safety Equipment: Anti-static straps, gloves, goggles, rubber-handled tools, protective coat or appropriate clothing (dirt), appropriate footwear (hard/steel toes) w/low or no heels.
