We have been working the last 2 1/2 months to deep clean and redesign the salon for the safety of our guests and team. We will be allowing for at least 6 ft. between our chair areas. We feel confident coming back to work in our personal protection equipment (PPE) to accommodate the standard industry sanitation protocols. Additional strict guidelines for safety and health measures are given to us from New Jersey and the State Licensing Cosmetology and Barbering Board along with the CDL. Here is information on changes we will be making:We are asking everyone to come into the salon with clean hair, stylists will either wet hair down with spray bottle or cut your hair dry. The only shampoos that will be allowed are for color services or permsEach cape will be in a separate sanitary bag, we will provide a clean towel to place over your face for extra safety during your shampooFor now we will wax eyebrows only; no lip or chin. If you would like to buy a home wax kit they will be availableWe have eliminated magazines and have closed the common areas, as well as our beverage/ refreshment areas (this is a BYOB for now)…bring your own beverage.Restrooms will be temporarily closed and reserved for our employees. We ask you to please come preparedFor your protection, if you need to purchase any salon hair care products one of our team members will remove the item(s) from the shelf for you. If you let us know beforehand we will have it pre-packaged for you.At this time we will be discontinuing all discounted services (including senior discounts). We will bring them back as soon as things get back to normal.We are required to add a sanitation Covid-fee to all services which will be included as you check-out. (Amount will depend on the services you’re receiving.)Appointments not cancelled within 48 hours are subject to a 50% charge of your service. In the near future we will have a secure way of holding your credit card on file. This will be the easiest way to pay without touching. As an extra protection, The Hair House Salon and Spa staff has passed the Barbicide Sanitation Training and the Covid- 19 Sanitation Training. We will be using a UV Lamp to kill any germs in the air during shifts and at end of day. We will be thoroughly sanitizing work spaces between every single guest. We have expanded our hours and adjusted our team’s schedules to limit the number of people in the salon at one time. If allowed by our Governor; we will be open 7 Days a Week 7am - 10pm.To schedule an appointment, since it has been many months that we have seen you and perhaps you added a bit of color to your hair, we need to make sure we reserve enough time to take care of it especially highlights or color correction. Please ask for a questionnaire to help us adjust your time. For new clients and existing clients that have used box color, please contact us prior to booking your appointment using our website at or email us at thehairhouseint@. Include a picture of your hair and request a Virtual Consultation. We will contact you and set a date. Following your consultation you may call our guest service team and give them your Consultation # that will be provided to you. This will ensure enough time for your service. (Please note: existing clients that used professional color but feel a need for a consultation feel free to contact us as noted above.)When arriving for your appointment:We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment and call us at (908) 722-3024 to let us know you have arrived. We will let you know when your service provider is ready for you, no need to stand outsideYou must arrive wearing a mask and keep it on at all times. If you do not have one you may purchase one from us for $3.00One door will be an entrance and the other an exitBefore entering we will be taking your temperature with our touch-less thermometer and you will complete a Client Health Questionnaire (example attached)Please enter with wallet and phone only; do not enter with your purse /bag Only guests with appointments will be allowed in the salon. Having extra people in the salon compromises everyone and will not allow for another client to come in. Please have patience with our new norm. We will be accepting Credit, Cash and Check payments, although Credit Card payment would be preferred We are thrilled to see you again. Your health and safety is our number one concern, although we cannot shake hands or give you a hug now, just know that your presence is the best HUG ever.
