The EPSS Goals for the Gadsden Independent School District include rewarding effective educators and leaders through a program of continual training and professional development in addition to providing a smarter return on New Mexico’s investment in the education of our students. Through Title II, the Gadsden ISD is able to support these goals by providing educators and leaders access to college courses and related expenses, nationally recognized workshops, as well as participation in relevant conferences. In addition the Gadsden district is very intentional in designing and presenting local workshops, etc after analyzing district data to discover areas of need as shown in student data and the New Mexico Teach Observation Protocol.

Explain why the transfer or increase is needed:

The increase is needed to allocate monies received from Carryover and Final Allocation of funds received by the Gadsden ISD for Title II Part A.

What will the funds be used for?

The funds will be used to support and provide quality professional development designed to promote teacher effectiveness and strong instructional leadership in the Gadsden ISD.

At which school sites will the funds be used?

The professional development supported by this fund is open to all teachers, instructional assistants and campus based administrators in the Gadsden ISD.
