More Ways to Win Cash Playing Pick-3 from the New Jersey Lottery in March
Trenton, N.J. (March 23, 2015) ? The Pick-3 game is one of New Jersey's longest running and most popular games with players. Since its inception in 1977, Pick-3 has maintained its position as a top ticket seller and ranks first in sales among all draw games including the multi-state games. Spring is a favorite time of year for Pick-3 players because the "Green Ball Double Draw" promotion provides them with more opportunities to win cash. The promotion will run from March 23 through April 5.
The "Green Ball" promotion is certain to increase prizes and here is how it works:
Each midday and evening during the promotion after the regular Pick-3 drawing, a subsequent drawing will be conducted from a separate machine that contains 9 or less white balls (exact number is determined by how many have previously been removed during the course of the promotion) and 1 Green Ball ? starting with a total of 10 balls.
If a white ball is drawn, it will be removed, and the next drawing will be from the remaining white balls and 1 Green Ball. A white ball will be removed each drawing until the Green Ball is drawn.
If the Green Ball is selected, a second set of Pick-3 numbers will be drawn, giving players a second chance to win from their original Pick-3 wagers. Whenever the Green Ball is drawn, all 10 balls are replaced for the next Pick-3 drawing, where the process starts over.
Watch New Jersey Lottery drawings for Pick-3, Pick-4, Jersey Cash 5, Pick-6 XTRA, and CASH4LIFE from the Lottery website homepage (), or on the official Lottery Facebook Page. Evening drawings, with the exception of CASH4LIFE, can be seen on WPIXTV (PIX11) in New York and WPHL-TV (PHL17) in Philadelphia. Powerball and Mega Millions drawings can be seen on WABC-TV stations.
ABOUT THE LOTTERY Since its inception in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery () has contributed more than $23 billion to the State in support of education and institutions. In Fiscal Year 2014, the Lottery's contribution was more than $965 million. Among its beneficiaries are: veterans homes, colleges and universities, school nutrition programs, homes for the developmentally disabled, psychiatric hospitals, higher education scholarship programs and the Marie Katzenbach School for the Deaf.
