What it means to be a Well Versed Kid:We have started our Well Versed Kids (WVK) Bible memory verse program for your child. We believe it is important for children to learn at an early age that it is fun to memorize God’s word and to live daily in His way. The Well Versed Kids program encourages your child to learn Bible verses throughout the year. How the program works:During Sunday school your child can ask for WVK Bible verse cards for their age group. They are in either ESV or NIV.There are 6 verses in each main topic. They are broken down into 3 verses for each sub-topic.To earn a ribbon your child will memorize the three Bible verses that are in each sub-topic. This memory work can be done with your help or by themselves. Everything except the grade level needs to be memorized. Once learned, the child must recite the 3 memory verses to you, their Sunday school teacher or the WVK leader. If done satisfactorily, the child earns a ribbon for that sub-topic. If this memory test is given at home, a signed note from the parent must be given before a ribbon can be awarded for their accomplishment. Ribbons are awarded during class time.In addition there are longer Bible passages that need to be memorized. A ribbon is awarded for each of the longer passages learned.Once the child has earned all the ribbons for their grade level, they can become a Well Versed Kid by reciting all the grade level memory verses in one sitting. Longer passages only need to be said the one time. This should be said to the Sunday school teacher or WVK leader.Your child has until the next promotion Sunday to become a Well Versed Kid.5695950389890Grade level/Card numberGrade level/Card numberEvery Sunday a record will be made of your child’s progress.
