Curriculum:

A. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approves the following revised Curricula for the 2019-2020 school year.

➢ Science

➢ Social Studies

B. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approves the following Field Trips/Teacher Workshops for the 2019-2020 school year:

➢ Health Barn - March 17, 18, 26, 2020 - Number Three School 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM - 169 students Grade 3 Teachers - Cost: $3,042.00

➢ BCUA Program - May 6, 2020 - Lincoln Annex - Kindergarten Classes - Cost: $0

➢ Linda Steffe - March 19, 2020 - Workshop- Anxiety and School Avoidance - Cost: $40.00 (Paid for with Title II A grant)

Personnel:

C. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approves the request by Johanna Acevedo, aide, for 8 unpaid days from March 18, 2020 until March 27, 2020 due to a medical emergency in the family.

D. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approves the following to work as a part-time aide for the 2019-2020 school year with a salary of $ 10.40 an hour (FEA Support Staff Contract Schedule A-Part Time Aides Step 1):

Finance:

E. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the School Business Administrator, approves submitting the preliminary 2020/2021 budget to the Bergen County Business Official for approval.

i. Total Budget $36,337,624

ii. Tax Levy will remain at $16,213,902 – No increase

iii. Police Officers and additional teachers have been included in the 2020/2021 Budget

iv. Total State Aid increased from $14,596,673 in 2019/2020 to $18,125,246 for 2020/2021. An increase of $3,528,573.

v. Travel Reimbursement will remain at $.31 a mile. Not to exceed $2,000 for the entire district

vi. The District did not take a health care adjustment.

vii. Total Salaries for the District = $11,691,401

viii. Projected Outside District Tuition Cost = $13,109,594

ix. Projected Healthcare Costs = $3,157,832

F. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the School Business Administrator, approves the Northern Region Educational Services Commission Transportation Services Agreement for one student attending High Point School of Bergen County from September 2019 to June 2020 for a cost of $20,428.10 ($19,642.40 + $785.70).

G. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the School Business Administrator, approves the AM Consultants Proposal from Montville, NJ to conduct a fixed asset inventory for fiscal year 2019/2020 in order to comply with GASB 34 and GAAP procedures. The total cost of the Fixed Asset Analysis and Report is $3,975.

H. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the School Business Administrator, approves internal transfers from various accounts to various accounts (see attached)

I. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Business Administrator, approves the Requisition for Taxes.

J. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Business Administrator, approves the Board Secretary’s Report for the month of January 2020.

K. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Business Administrator, approves the Bank Reconciliation of Statement for the month of January 2020.

L. All Board Members and Administrators must complete School Ethics forms no later than March 31, 2020. Emails have already been sent to @. Dr. Sleppin can assist to access the email sent from the NJDOE.

Payment of Claims February 2020 = $1,623,442.50
