With the help of local D&D guru, Chuck, she embarks on an adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. In this world riddled with Demons, Faeries, and gelatinous cubes, Agnes learns more about her sister than she ever did in her all too short life, as they build each other up and vanquish the monsters together. Acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the warrior within us all. Reminding us that we, too, can kill monsters.??CHARACTER BREAKDOWNAgnes Evans: Senior in high school. After Tilly’s death, Agnes decides to go on a D&D adventure in order to feel closer to Tilly, as they never had a close relationship.Tilly Evans/Tillius the Paladin: Agnes's sister who dies in a car crash at the age of fifteen. Tilly has a love for D&D adventures, and anything classified as nerdy or geeky. In the game, her girlfriend is Lilith, which is later learned to be based on one of her friends named Lilly (or Elizabeth).?Miles: Agnes's boyfriend of five years. Miles is also a senior and on the high school football team. Miles is shown to be scared of commitment. He appears in the game as a shapeshifting "gelatinous cube" that Agnes must kill.?Orcus/Ronnie: A demon of the underworld that holds onto lost souls or knows where to find them. He is obsessed with watching television. The party travels to him first in order to ask about the Lost Soul of Athens. He later joins the party on their quest. He is based on one of Tilly’s high school friends named Ronnie.CHARACTER BREAKDOWN (Continued)Vera: Agnes’s best friend. She is supportive of Agnes, but does not approve of Miles.?Chuck: A member of Tilly’s friend group and the Dungeon Master for the game. He helps Agnes throughout the module. Endearing.??Lilith Morningstar/Lilly: A Demon Queen that resembles a leather-clad dominatrix and Tilly's girlfriend in the game. Lilith is based on Tilly’s high school friend Lilly.?Kaliope Darkwater/Kelly: Kaliope is a Dark Elf that is described as a supermodel and incredibly strong. She is based on Tilly’s high school friend Kelly.?Narrator: Describes the events going on in the story and gives background description of the reason behind the story and the characters of Agnes and Tilly.??Steve: In real life he is one of Tilly's classmates. In the game he is a mage that usually is on the receiving end of bosses showing how powerful they are, resulting in his death multiple times over.?Farrah: A fairy and one of the bosses Agnes and her party must face before they can reach the final boss.?Evil Gabbi and Evil Tina: Cheerleader succubi that torment Tilly, in particular about her sexuality, both in the game and when she was alive. Willing to help people BUT less likely to put themselves into harm's way to do so and/or cares about personal advancement, but less likely to harm othersEvil: More selfish tendencies, cares about personal advancement and is willing to harm others for it.And remember, this is just a way for you to categorize your D&D character to help make decisions in game. Wanting to be selfish sometimes is NOT evil. Vague language is used here to be as ambiguous as possible, but the typical images one might think of when they think of "good" and "evil" are pretty accurate when it comes to D&D.Lawful GoodThink of a traditional storybook knight fighting for what is right.Neutral Good"I generally like to follow the laws, but I'll break some if I think they're immoral."Chaotic GoodSteal from the rich and give to the poor!i.e. Robin HoodLawful NeutralAn enforcer of "Like it or don't like it, that's the law."True Neutral"Eh."i.e. ShrekChaotic NeutralWhen you like to light things on fire just for fun.Lawful EvilDevils in D&D are evil, but there is a hierarchy. Selling your soul to the devil is lawful evil: they're not gonna be nice to you in hell, but at least you get to see the terms and conditions.Neutral EvilI'll do whatever I need to get what I want. I'll follow the law, or I won't.Chaotic EvilArbitrary violence for the sake of arbitrary violence, bloodlust for the sake of bloodlust. Much less calculated than Lawful or even Neutral evil.Audition Information?WHAT TO PREPARE:Prepare and memorize a monologue playing at no more than 90 seconds.
