DORSET POLICEFORCE COMMAND CENTREJob Title:Non-Emergency Contact Officer Job Type:PermanentDuration:N/ANumber of Hours:37 Vacancy Number:VAC-5514Based at:HQ, Winfrith, DorsetBrief Purpose:Acting as the first point of contact to members of the public as one of our Non-Emergency Contact Officer (101), you will be responsible for receiving non-emergency calls, emails and online contact. Your role will be ensuring the most appropriate help and support is established, ensuring you handle every contact with empathy, and understanding and providing a high level of customer service to member of the public.The focus of the Force Command Centre is on making every contact count by ‘getting it right first time’ and ensuring an efficient and effective customer journey as well as seeking to address the maximum number of service calls at the first point of contact within a 24 hour capability. Scale / Salary:Commencing salary will be within Scale C which is ?21,604 per annum pro rata, rising by yearly increments to ?23,026 per annum pro rata. This is inclusive of 14% shift allowance.Allowances:The above salary is inclusive of 14% shift allowance. An enhancement can also be claimed for hours worked at weekend which accumulates to approximately ?2,000 per annum pro rata.Closing date:06/04/2020 (12 noon)Interview / Assessment Date:30 – 31/05/2020Additional informationOwing to significant training investment and in order to provide resilience, this post is subject to a minimum two year tenure period.
