Membership Services Coordinator

The Member Services Coordinator plays a vital role in the achievement of these goals.

Position Description

Our goal is to ensure that Washington Nonprofits members receive high value, experience strong customer service, and feel a deep mission connection to our organization. The Member Services Coordinator is a key link with our members. S/he will ensure that the Washington Nonprofits membership program is well-organized and meets the needs of diverse constituents across Washington. S/he will work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues and partners to ensure that membership is fully integrated across all facets of WN's work.

Responsibilities

Coordination of Membership Program 1. Ensure that data about our members is accurate and up-to-date, using Salesforce CRM. 2. Process membership applications; manage membership recruitment and renewal appeals and invoicing. 3. Monitor and report on key metrics related to membership growth and generate reports to inform member engagement strategy. 4. Coordinate current member service programs including relationship building and contracting with vendors and benefit providers. 5. Develop and maintain all office/electronic files and systems associated with membership. 6. Actively participate in crafting membership development strategy, including networking with peers at other state associations to identify best practices and engaging in program planning with WN leadership.

Member Outreach and Communications 1. Serve as central point of contact for members; respond to general inquiries. 2. Represent WN at key events. 3. Orient new members. 4. Communicate membership value and benefits to current and prospective members via our website and email communications. 5. Develop and implement member recruitment campaigns 6. Engage staff and board in member recruitment and retention.

Membership Services Coordinator

General 1. Participate in planning/organizing annual conferences and events as needed. 2. Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with organizational and event sponsors. 3. As a member of the WN staff team, work on special projects throughout the year. 4. Represent the organization at events, which may include some travel throughout Washington State.

Skills and Requirements ? Bachelors Degree (preferred) with at least three years related work experience in membership or fundraising with preference given to those with association and/or nonprofit experience. ? Excellent customer service skills and attitude ? Experience working with diverse populations ? Commitment our mission and belief in the value of nonprofits as drivers of social justice, benefit, and change. ? Outstanding verbal/written communication skills. ? Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and membership/development databases are required. Experience with Cvent, MailChimp, and Salesforce preferred. ? Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and priorities effectively and professionally. ? Ability to travel within state and current driver's license required. Access to a vehicle preferred. ? Some moderate lifting (up to 25 pounds) may be required on an occasional basis.
