WORK INCLUDES EXPOSURE TO HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS POTENTIALLY RESULTING IN A SERIOUS PHYSICAL INJURY REQUIRING MEDICAL ATTENTION, AND SOME LOST TIME FROM WORK. EXPOSURE OCCURS ON A SEASONAL PERIODIC, OR SIMILAR INTERMITTENT BASIS. THIS POSITION HAS GREAT DEAL OF INTERACTION WITH THE COURTS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, PAROLE BOARD, PARDON ADVISORY BOARD, HUMAN SERVICE CENTERS, AND SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRES A BACHELOR’S DEGREE WITH A MAJOR IN A BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE, ELIGIBILITY TO BE LICENSED AS A PEACE OFFICER IN NORTH DAKOTA UNDER NORTH DAKOTA CENTURY CODE CHAPTER 12-63 WHICH INCLUDES PASSING THE CRITICAL TASK ASSESSMENT IN SIX MINUTES AND THIRTY SECONDS OR LESS. INCUMBENT SHALL ATTEND THE FIRST AVAILABLE BASIC PEACE OFFICER TRAINING RECOGNIZED BY THE ND PEACE OFFICERS AND TRAINING BOARD (POST BOARD) ENSURING AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM THE PEACE OFFICER DUTIES OF A PAROLE AND PROBATION OFFICER IN ACCORDANCE WITH NORTH DAKOTA CENTURY CODE SECTION 12-59-20. MUST HAVE A VALID CLASS D DRIVER'S LICENSE. MUST PASS A THOROUGH BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK.
