And Outlined His Vision Of Rebuilding The Tools Of American Military Power. Jindal told reporters on the sidelines of the FPI forum that the United States is "in the process of hollowing out our military." "The best way for America to lead … is for America to rebuild our tools of hard power," he said. "I think we are less likely to deploy our armed forces if we are actually prepared." Jindal frequently invoked former President Ronald Reagan's mantra of "peace through strength" as a means of deterring adversaries globally.? Governor Jindal Wrote An Op-Ed Criticizing President Obama For Not Believing In The Principles Of American Exceptionalism And Peace Through Strength. As this administration has careened from crisis to crisis over the past several months, a bigger crisis has emerged: one of competence—in President Obama's leadership, and in Washington's ability to get things done.? For a president who came into office promising to restore competence to the White House, his marked indifference towards governing has harmed the American people.? … Fixing these crises of competence will require decisive leadership by the administration. More importantly, it will also require the maturity to adapt a change in leadership style.? To date, President Obama has governed as if he does not believe in two critical foreign policy concepts: American exceptionalism, and peace through strength.? … In the end, I have every confidence that the strength and determination of the American people will see us through tough times. But only strong leadership by President Obama—by adopting the principles of American exceptionalism and peace through strength—can help restore our image abroad, keep Americans secure, and ensure our brave fighting men and women have the tools they need to succeed. Jindal is a two-term governor and former congressman who has steered Louisiana through post-Hurricane Katrina rebuilding and the BP oil spill. … Jindal discussed what he says is the biggest issue with Obama. "The most dangerous thing he's doing is trying to redefine the American dream […] This president seems intent on trying to define the American dream as about redistribution, government spending, government borrowing. That's not the American dream," he ernor Jindal Penned A Column Criticizing President Obama For His Top-Down Government Centered Approach To Health Care Reform And Encouraged The New Congress To Work To Repeal Obamacare. Mr. Gruber and the other know-it-alls designed Obamacare as a top-down government centered approach where costs are high, and Washington bureaucrats are driving the train and making decisions about our health care. It was always meant to be a closed system that puts bureaucrats in the waiting room with you and your doctor. The Left's mindset on expanding Medicaid was a terrible, totally misguided idea, putting quantity over quality. … Real health care outcomes stem from patients and their doctors working together in an open health care system. Patients and doctors should have the right to make the health care choices that make the most sense for them. Decisions about our health care should not be made top-down, politically and artificially by Washington in a closed health care system. Better late than never for Jonathan Gruber and the Left to admit the deceptions used to sell Obamacare. And better late than never for President Obama himself to embrace reforms that can reduce costs, not raise them. As a Christian, I firmly believe in the redemptive power of second chances. Here's hoping that the new Congress and those in Washington take the opportunity fully within their grasp.Louisiana Joined Other States In Suing President Obama Over His Unlawful Immigration Order. "We joined the lawsuit because what the president is doing is wrong. We have separation of powers for a reason," Gov. Bobby Jindal said in a statement … "The bottom line is that the president knows good and well that the American people do not support what he is considering doing — it's unpopular, which is why he waited until after the midterms," referring to November congressional elections in which Democrats lost a battle to stay in power in the Senate. Jindal, an outspoken critic of Obama on many issues, including the border crisis, said the new Congress should work together "and stop at nothing to secure the border."Governor Jindal Announced Oxlean Manufacturing Is Expanding Its Facility In Walker, Louisiana That Will Result In A Total Of More Than 190 New Jobs.
