Mark Fink noted that the dedication of the Shipley Walters Center for Archives and Library Services was lovely and nostalgic. He talked a bit about the upheaval in the world of audio and ebooks.Crista noted that the summer Reading Program was wildly successful, with over a 30% increase in signups (over 6,000) and over 40% of participants finishing. J. Logos BooksPhil seems to be surprised by the increase in books and sales, which is never ending. He went on to talk about an adjustment in taking contributions at the store. We no longer want to get donations there. It will probably take some time to get people to listen.K. Book MendersIn Net’s absence, Karen reported that Menders are at FULL capacity and working hard. There has been a flood of new books to laminate. One nice note is that Menders were recently given a $100 donation in honor of Peggy Epstein’s 100th birthday. They purchased a huge set of artist quality colored pencils and are over-the-moon with glee. L. Web Site Linda talked a bit about the web site and some glitches she has fixed.
