Anywhere between 2 and 4 people is generally a good size. While you are encouraged to work together, each person needs to write up their own work individually. This is to help you prepare for both the exams and for your own future research, in which you might often be working on your own. Note that one of the exercises this week explicitly asks you to work in a group. All of the calculations on this problem set should be done “by hand”, with the obvious assistance of a calculator. If you are comfortable using excel, please feel free to use excel for these problems. I. Z-scoresText pages 104-106:Exercises #1 & #6 (For #6 only do z-scores, not T scores and SAT scores).
