Thank you Shark Nation for a wonderful year full of learning experiences for all. While we are excited about

the end of the year it is bitter sweet as we say goodbye to our eighth grade Sharks promoting to ninth grade.

We will miss you! We appreciate the community for your support and we look forward to seeing all your smiling faces in the upcoming school year.

Third grade dissected worms! At

first many were unsure but once

they got started it was nothing but

fun and learning! Our students are

having positive learning experiences

that they will take with them always.

Our sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students were taking a closer look into our computer technology. They had the opportunity

to take a part a computer and identify all the components of the

central processing unit. Then students had the opportunity to put

together a motherboard, the part of the computer that holds and

allows communication between many of the crucial electronic

components of a system.

When students understand that their perspective can change the way they experience life,

they have been given a powerful gift. We are

always choosing a perspective; we just are not

always conscious of the choices we make. Students may "do" their homework but rarely (if

ever) take the time to determine how they

"see" their homework and the bigger implications that it may have in their life. After all, if

they get into the habit of "seeing" homework as

punishment, they are setting themselves up for

future punishment. The good news is if we

don't like what we see - we can change it! We

may not be able to change the conditions, but

we can change how we see and experience

those conditions.

Students in second grade are exploring Earth＊s various landforms

and bodies of water. To help them solidify their learning they are

bring out their colored pencils and drawing a model of a famous

landform found right here in Arizona, the Grand Canyon!

As the end of the school year nears we want students to remain

focused on their studies. Let＊s help keep our students on track by

ensuring they are attending class daily and submitting their work

on time. Feel free to reach out to your student＊s teacher if you

have any questions or concerns.

If you, your child, or a family member is

experiencing COVID-like symptoms (fever

or chills, cough, shortness of breath or

difficulty breathing, fatigue, sore throat,

headache, congestion or runny nose,

nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, muscle/

body aches, and/or a new loss of taste or

smell), do not attend work/school, and

consider either seeking healthcare or

getting a COVID-19 PCR or antigen test,

depending on the severity of symptoms.

-1-1.

At the beginning of the school year first grade adopted a cow

from a local farm. They were able to follow the young calf's journey as it grew and were even able to name the cow. As the year

ends first grade is receiving their final update and preparing to

adopt a new cow for the upcoming school year.

Parents please talk with your children

about making sure cell-phones are not out

or being used on campus, unless the

teacher has given expressed consent for a

lesson. It keeps kids focused at school and

away from distractions.

Gracias Shark Nation por un a?o maravilloso lleno de experiencias de aprendizaje para todos. Si bien estamos emocionados por el final

del a?o, es agridulce cuando nos despedimos de nuestros Tiburones de octavo grado que ascienden a noveno grado. ?Te extra?aremos!

?Gusanos disecados de tercer grado! Al

principio, muchos no estaban seguros, pero

una vez que comenzaron, ?no fue m芍s que

diversi車n y aprendizaje! Nuestros estudiantes est芍n teniendo experiencias de

aprendizaje positivas que siempre llevar芍n

consigo.

Nuestros estudiantes de sexto, s谷ptimo y octavo grado estaban observando m芍s de cerca nuestra tecnolog赤a inform芍tica. Tuvieron la oportunidad

de tomar parte de una computadora e identificar todos los componentes

de la unidad central de procesamiento. Luego, los estudiantes tuvieron la

oportunidad de armar una placa base, la parte de la computadora que

sostiene y permite la comunicaci車n entre muchos de los componentes

electr車nicos cruciales de un sistema.

Cuando los estudiantes entienden que su perspectiva puede

cambiar la forma en que experimentan la vida, se les ha

dado un regalo poderoso. Siempre estamos eligiendo una

perspectiva; simplemente no siempre somos conscientes de

las elecciones que hacemos. Los estudiantes pueden "hacer"

su tarea, pero rara vez (o nunca) se toman el tiempo para
