Alicia Maciel Joins the OC Small Business Development Center

(Santa Ana)— Alicia Maciel has joined the Orange County Small Business Development Center (OCSBDC) as a business consultant. In that capacity, she will provide no-cost business consultation and informative seminars in strategic business planning, sales, marketing, and business expansion strategies, primarily to Anaheim-based small business owners and entrepreneurs. The OCSBDC is an economic development program of Rancho Santiago Community College District.

With ten years of experience in marketing, sales, finance, training, business planning and development, Maciel serves as the principal consultant for On The RISE (Realizing Innovative and Successful Enterprises) Corporation where she specializes in writing business plans, strategic planning and presenting business seminars for start-ups, small businesses, and non-profits. An accomplished speaker and trainer, Maciel has been featured in training videos and has also served as a guest speaker and trainer at seminars and conventions nationwide.

Previously, she served as senior strategic business planner for Walt Disney Attractions, Disneyland Resort. In that capacity, she initiated and completed business plans and evaluated projects financial feasibility. She also served as a resort spokesperson for Spanish radio interviews.

Prior to that, she was purchasing card administrator for Chevron Products, Inc. Her duties included developing a marketing program, writing a monthly newsletter, and creating the card’s distribution and support system.

She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting from University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
