This course will review algebraic expressions, integers, and mathematical properties that will lead into working with variables and linear equations. There will be an in-depth study of graphing equations, data analysis and systems of equations through direct class instruction, homework, student projects and technology.Teaching Philosophy I believe that students learn if the content is relevant to their backgrounds. The student can be interested in the content depending on the teaching style of the teacher. Students need to see the passion in the teacher and a sense that the teacher cares about them learning. Students should be able to see the extra effort that the teacher puts into each of them learning and retaining the knowledge. A Teacher must be aware of the way that each student learns.ScheduleM/W: Period 1,3,5 Group A –Zoom, Group B – IWT/TH: Period 2,4 Group A – Zoom, Group B-IWFridays: All periods have Independent Work dayTUTORING:Students should attend daily tutoring sessions if they are struggling with particular assignments, or are struggling with class content in general.
