Quicken for Windows Conversion InstructionsQuicken for Windows 2013–2015 IntroductionAs Avenue Bank completes its system conversion to Pinnacle Financial Partners, you will need to modify your Quicken settings to ensure the smooth transition of your data. Please reference the dates next to each task as this information is time sensitive. To complete these instructions, you will need your online banking userid and password for the Avenue Bank and Pinnacle Financial Partners websites.It is important that you perform the following instructions exactly as described and in the order presented. If you do not, your service may stop functioning properly. This conversion should take 15–30 minutes.Quicken offers several methods for you to connect to Pinnacle Financial Partners – the below describes how to setup the Direct Connect connection to Pinnacle. Using direct connect you can download transactions, initiate transfers and bill payments directly from Quicken. You will have to login to and enable the request for Quicken to retrieve the information. Documentation and ProceduresConversion PreparationBackup your data file. For instructions to back up your data file, choose Help menu > Search. Search for Backing Up Your Data and follow the instructions.Download the latest Quicken Update. For instructions to download an update, choose Help menu > Search. Search for Update Software and follow the instructions.Connect to Avenue Bank for a final download before 6pm CT on 9/2/16Log in to Avenue Bank and download your Quicken Web Connect file.Click File > File Import > Web Connect File.Repeat this step for each account (such as checking, savings, credit cards, and brokerage) that you use for online banking or investing.If new transactions were received from your connection, accept all new transactions into the appropriate registers.If you need assistance matching transactions, choose Help menu > Quicken Help. Search for Matching Transactions and follow the instructions.Deactivate Your Account(s) at Avenue Bank after your final download. Choose Tools menu > Account List.Click the Edit button of the account you want to deactivate.In the Account Details dialog, click on the Online Services tab.Click Deactivate. Follow the prompts to confirm the deactivation.Click on the General tab. Remove the financial institution name and account number. Click OK to close the window.Repeat steps 2–6 for each account at Avenue Bank.Login to online banking at Pinnacle Financial Partners on or after 10am CT on 9/6/161. Visit 2. In the Online Banking login box, input your Avenue Bank (now Pinnacle) online banking access id and the password. Once you have logged in for the first time successfully, you are ready to setup your accounts in Quicken.Re-activate Your Account(s) at Pinnacle Financial Partners after your first successful login to Pinnacle’s online banking systemChoose Tools menu > Account List.Click the Edit button of the account you want to activate.In the Account Details dialog, click on the Online Services tab.Click Set up Now.Use Advanced Setup to activate your account.Enter Pinnacle Financial Partners and click Next.On the Select Connection Method screen, select Direct Connect.Type your User ID and Password and click Connect. You could possibly receive a message that Quicken encountered an error; this is because the request is pending authorization in online banking. Login to . You will have an urgent message requesting access from personal finance software. Click the subject to open the message click the Click here link within the message Enable the request.Return to Quicken and choose Try again now click NextDo NOT select Add to Quicken. If you are presented with accounts you do not want to track in this data file, select Ignore – Don’t Download into Quicken.Ensure you associate the account to the appropriate account already listed in Quicken. You will want to select Link to an existing account and select the matching accounts in the drop-down menu. Quicken may download past history that you already have in your register but allows you to review the history prior to adding to your register. Please be sure to not duplicate any transactions that are already in your register. After all accounts have been matched, click Next.
