Lesson #49 Trig Formulas Handout (Labeling)

Trigonometry is not as scary as it sounds as long as you can remember the phrase SOH CAH TOA! SOH CAH TOA is an acronym to help you remember how to create trigonomic formulas. SOH stands for sin = opposite over hypotenuse, CAH stands for cos = adjacent over hypotenuse, and TOA stands for tan = opposite over adjacent. Use the following handout to label what is the hypotenuse, what is the opposite and what is adjacent sides of a triangle in relation to the angle provided.
