Scripture Readings for This Week. The scripture readings for next Sunday, the 19th Sunday after Pentecost. The readings for next Sunday will be Is. 25:6-9; Phil. 4:4-13; and Matt. 22:1-14. This info is being provided so that you can better prepare for worship.

Join us for the Book Club on Mon., Oct. 9 at 7:00 pm in the church library. They will be discussing Lisa Clark's most recent book, Concealed.

Overflowing Abundance based on Matthew 14:13-21 is the topic of the next Ladies' Bible study that begins this Thursday, Oct. 12. Join us on Thursdays at 7:00 pm in the overflow room. This is a DVD study. All are welcome!

Bible Studies & Sunday School Classes

For Men: Tuesdays at 6:30 am at Burger King. Led by

Pastor Troup. They are studying Jeff Hemmer's book, Man Up!.

For Women: Thursdays at 7:00 pm in the overflow room.

They are studying a DVD & discussion based Bible study book, Overflowing Abundance, through Thanksgiving.

For All Adults: Sundays at 9:00 am in the overflow room.

Scrapbook Day! Interested in attending the next Scrapbook Day at Immanuel on Saturday, Oct. 14th from 9 am to 11 pm. $7.00 per person. Stay as long as you would like. Sweet Treat Walk at the PumpkinFest! The Board of Evangelism will be hosting a Sweet Treat Walk at the PumpkinFest (9 am - 4 pm) in downtown Waterloo on Saturday, October 14th. Homemade sweet treats of all kinds (cakes, pies, cookies, sweet breads, muffins, etc.) are needed. Your donation must have the ingredients labeled and cannot use refrigeration since the event is outdoors. We ask that if you are able to donate, please drop off your items in the church kitchen on October 13th, or you may drop them off at Immanuel's booth the day of the PumpkinFest. We also are in need of volunteers to work the booth during the PumpkinFest on Sat., Oct. 14th, and a sign up sheet is located in the narthex.
