BAI2 Overview

Truist BAI2 Format is an Information Reporting service that provides balance, summary,

and transaction detail in the Bank Administration Institute (BAI) common format. The BAI2

formatted file enables automated processing of commercial bank account informat ion into

a Treasury Workstations or Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Your BAI2 formatted

file can be delivered by direct transmission, SWIFT FileAct, or secure email.

Prior Day BAI2 data files enable managing your cash position on a prior day bas is or

posting your transactions. Current Day BAI2 data files enable managing your cash

position intraday at various scheduled times.

transmission delivery options.

BAI Codes:

The BAI codes that are reported will depend on the activity in your account and any

specific BAI codes selected during the set up process. Not all BAI codes are reported

today by Truist. It is important to be prepared to accept any of the BAI codes in the

event activity were to begin reporting in the future.

Each BAI code is a three digit number and is aligned to one of the following types:

Status Codes - these codes represent balances.

Summary Codes �C these codes represent a summary of detail

codes.

Detail Codes �C these codes represent individual debit or credit

transactions.

How the Service Works

Details of Prior Day BAI Reporting

One file is delivered for Prior Day Reporting the day after posting (Tuesday

through Saturday). The stated service delivery time is 6 a.m. ET. Clients

using the Multi-Bank Reporting service will receive the BAI file at 11:45 a.m.

ET to enable the reporting data to be received.

There are 2 options for Detail transactions:

? Prior Day BAI with Enhanced (expanded) Detail - Includes additional

continuation ��88�� records with details about the transaction

? Prior Day BAI with Standard Detail �C Includes a continuation ��88��

record with the Transaction Description.

Important note: In the ��02�� record, the static value for the Routing and

Transit is 053101121 and cannot be modified to reflect the state specific

RT assigned to the account.

Prior Day BAI with Enhanced detail includes an optional report in a PDF

easy to read format that complements the BAI2 transmission file.
