Pendleton High School Student Parking Permit Application

Students who drive to school and park vehicles on campus MUST display a Student Parking Permit in their front windshield on the rear view mirror. The use of the student lot is a privilege, not a right, and certain rules and regulations must be followed in order to be allowed to park on campus.

Pendleton High School reserves the right to ticket students, to refuse parking privileges, or to have vehicles towed for infractions of the rules. Any fees or costs for towing are the responsibility of the students. Any damage to student vehicles or any loss incurred from theft or vandalism, or both, are the responsibility of the student..

Students are to park in the student parking lot ONLY. This is the large lot to the east of the commons and gold gym. Students are NOT to park in the teacher's parking lot (both upper and lower lots), the cook's parking spots, or any place behind the gold gym, the road leading to behind the green gym or behind the green gym.

Tickets may be issued for: parking in any lot WITHOUT a parking permit, parking in any are besides the student lot, parking in non-student areas (handicapped parking, or no parking zones). Tickets may also be issued, or privileges revoked for other violations, like speeding, dangerous driving, driving the wrong way, or certain violations of the school's drug and alcohol policy.

Security cameras are in use in the student parking lot. Part of the parking fees and fines are used for maintenance on the security systems and for periodical updates.

Any vehicle parking on school property is subject to search by school officials and law enforcement working with them. Such a search may be conducted without warrant for any reasonable purpose.

Students with parking fines may appeal specific charges to Mr. Bettineski within 10 days from the time of the ticket being issued. No appeals are accepted after that time.

Parking permits need to hang from the mirror and be transferable to difference vehicles in a family. The cost for a permit this school year is $10.00.
